This degree programme is designed for students and teachers who wish to strengthen their academic and professional qualifications in English Language and English Language Teaching.

Admission Requirements – Applicants should fulfill one of the following qualifications:
- Possess the OUSL Diploma in English Language & Literature (application required), OR
- Possess a Diploma in Teaching English (ESL) of 2 years’ duration from a National College of Education (NCOE), OR
- Possess any other recognized 2-year Teacher Training Qualification in Teaching English as a Second Language, acceptable to the OUSL Senate, OR
- Possess passes in three (03) subjects (including English Literature) at the G.C.E. (A/L) Examination or an equivalent qualification.
Selection Test – All applicants, except those who qualify under category (1), are required to pass a selection test conducted by the Department of Language Studies.
